NJC Full-Time Attorney Position Available

 The Neighborhood Justice Center, Inc. (NJC), is seeking a talented attorney to join our community defense legal team on a Full-Time basis. This attorney will carry a full load of criminal defense cases in metro area state courts and will contribute in other areas of NJC service including expungements, community education and treatment courts. 

NJC is a non-profit law firm, created in 1973, by and for communities of color with the express mission of ensuring that no one is denied access to a high quality attorney due to the color of their skin or lack of funds. NJC is proud to be a respected leader in the community and we are seeking a compassionate individual with relevant experience to contribute to this community leadership.  

General Requirements:

  • Must be dedicated to seeking justice for the community and fighting for the Constitutional Rights of the traditionally disenfranchised. 

  • Law school graduate.

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of MN and in good standing with the MN State Bar.

  • Applicant must have litigation experience.

  • Fluency in another language other than English is desired but not required. 

 Salary will be based on experience and will range from $87,000 to $105,000. This is an exempt position. NJC provides excellent health, dental, disability and life insurance; family-focused HR policies and scheduling; 401k company match; and generous paid time off.
